Description
This gambeson (aketon) is made up of three layers:
Outer layer – linen
Filling -100% cotton
Lining – linen
Freedom of movement has been achieved by varying the fill layers in different parts of the garment. Thus, the trunk, sleeves and collar have five layers and the arms have seven layers. The high collar gives good neck protection.
The aketon weighs approximately 2kg.
The aketon has five pairs of holes at the front which can be used for threading points when fastening (points not included). The standard version has no holders for armour parts. Also possible: models fastened with five bronze buckles.
On the picture the sleeves are attached to the gambeson using laces, standard they are permanently attached.
