Two-part robe clasp that can be joined together. It is in the Viking Age Urnes style and shows two dragons. The robe jewelry is made of bronze and is sewn onto the clothing on the attached eyelets.
The Urnes style is the last of the 6 known Viking Age styles that persisted until the beginning of the 12th century. Urnes replaced the Ringerike style in the middle of the 11th century. Filigree and intertwined depictions of animals shaped the Urnes style. This style was named after a small Norwegian town on the Lustrafjord.
