Pourpoint gambeson.
The pourpoint is made up of three layers:
Outer layer – linen
Filling – 100% cotton
Lining – linen
Based on the pourpoint style of Charles de Blois (1364) with characteristic grande assiette sleeves.
Freedom of movement has been achieved by varying the fill layers in different parts of the garment. Thus, the trunk has six layers, the sleeves have four layers and the forearms have eight layers. All fabric layers are stitched together. The pourpoint is fastened with rows of buttons. It weighs approximately 2kg. The standard version has no holders for armour parts and is made of natural linen.
